Terms and Conditions
1. Rental Agreement & Liability Waiver
JDL Party Rental LLC
Effective Date: [ 3 / 1 / 2026 ]
This Rental Agreement and Liability Waiver (“Agreement”) is entered into between JDL Party Rental LLC (“JDL”) and the individual renting equipment (“Renter”).
By booking a rental with JDL, the Renter agrees to all terms below.
2. Equipment Rental
JDL agrees to rent equipment to the Renter.
JDL reserves the right to refuse service or cancel an order if conditions are unsafe, inappropriate, or violate our rental policies.
The equipment remains the sole property of JDL Party Rental LLC at all times.
- Rental Period
The rental period begins when equipment is delivered/setup and ends at the scheduled time.
Late returns or unauthorized extended use may result in additional rental charges.
- Inspection and Acceptance
The Renter acknowledges that:
The equipment was inspected upon delivery or pickup.
The equipment was received in safe and good working condition unless otherwise noted.
Any issues must be reported before the equipment is used.
Use of the equipment constitutes acceptance of its condition.
- Proper Use of Equipment
The Renter agrees to:
Use equipment only for its intended purpose
Follow all safety instructions provided
Ensure all users behave safely
Prevent misuse or unsafe operation
The Renter is responsible for ensuring equipment is used only by competent and supervised individuals.
- Supervision Requirement
The Renter agrees that adult supervision must be present at all times while the equipment is in use.
JDL does not provide supervision, attendants, or monitoring unless specifically stated in writing.
- Assumption of Risk
The Renter understands that the use of rental equipment may involve inherent risks, including but not limited to:
Slips or falls
Collisions between users
Impact with equipment
Falling from equipment
Weather-related hazards
Misuse
The Renter voluntarily assumes all risks associated with the use, operation, and presence of the equipment.
- Liability Waiver and Release
To the fullest extent permitted under Ohio law, the Renter agrees to release and hold harmless JDL Party Rental LLC, including its owners, employees, agents, and contractors, from any claims or liability arising from:
Injury or death to any person
Damage to property
Use or misuse of rental equipment
Failure to supervise participants
This release applies to claims arising from ordinary negligence but does not apply to gross negligence or intentional misconduct, where prohibited by law.
- Indemnification
The Renter agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless JDL Party Rental LLC from any and all claims, lawsuits, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including attorney’s fees, arising from:
Use of rented equipment
Injury to any participant, guest, or third party
Damage to property
Violations of safety rules or applicable laws
- Responsibility for Guests and Participants
The Renter is responsible for all persons using or near the equipment, including but not limited to:
Children
Guests
Event attendees
Spectators
The Renter agrees that they are fully responsible for supervising participants and preventing unsafe behavior.
- Equipment Responsibility
The Renter assumes full responsibility for the equipment from the time of delivery until it is returned to JDL.
The Renter agrees to pay for the full cost of repair or replacement for equipment that is:
Damaged
Lost
Stolen
Destroyed
Misused
Replacement cost will be determined by JDL Party Rental LLC.
- Weather Responsibility
The Renter is responsible for protecting equipment from rain, wind, storms, or other weather conditions.
Damage caused by weather while the equipment is in the Renter’s possession is the Renter’s responsibility.
- Site Preparation
The Renter must ensure that the setup area:
Can accommodate the rental safely.
Is safe and level
Has adequate space
Is free of hazards
Does not contain underground utilities that could be damaged
JDL is not responsible for damage to floors, lawns, sprinkler systems, pavement, landscaping, or underground utilities.
- Unauthorized Modifications
The Renter may not move, modify, or tamper with the equipment after setup without permission from the JDL.
- Cleaning and Return Condition
Equipment must be returned in substantially the same condition as delivered, excluding normal wear.
Excessive cleaning costs or damage may result in additional charges.
- Payment and Refunds
The Renter agrees to pay all rental fees, deposits, and applicable charges.
The Renter agrees to contact JDL Party Rental LLC directly to process cancellations. We’re happy to process your refund if you need to cancel.

The Renter agrees not to dispute the charges through their financial institution to circumvent our Refund Policy. Doing so violates our Terms and Conditions.
DEFENDING AGAINST CHARGEBACKS COSTS US EACH TIME. AFTER WE SETTLE THE DISPUTE WITH Stripe YOU WILL RECEIVE AN ADDITIONAL $15 CHARGE.
JDL reserves the right to charge the Renter’s payment method for damages, late returns, or required fees.
- Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, JDL Party Rental LLC shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or event disruption.
- Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Ohio.
Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts located within Ohio.
- Severability
If any portion of this Agreement is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
- Acknowledgment of Understanding
The Renter acknowledges that they:
Have read this Agreement in full
Understand its terms
Agree to be legally bound by it
Voluntarily accept all risks associated with the rental equipment
Refund Policy
Cancellations
Need to cancel a booking ? No problem! Contact Us and we’ll be happy to help.
PLEASE DO NOT DISPUTE THE CHARGES WITH YOUR BANK TO CIRCUMVENT OUR REFUND POLICY. CHARGEBACKS COST US TO DEFEND AGAINST. THIS VIOLATES OUR AGREEMENT TERMS AND WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE OF $15 ONCE THE DISPUTE HAS BEEN SETTLED, AS OUTLINED IN OUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
Cancellations made 7 days or more before the scheduled booking : Payments will be refunded minus a $25.00 ( Twenty-Five Dollars )non-refundable processing fee. No exceptions.
Cancellations made within 72 hours of the scheduled booking : Payments will be refunded minus a $75.00 ( Seventy-Five Dollars ) non-refundable processing fee. No exceptions.
Payments made via Debit/Credit Card are processed with Stripe. Refunds through Stripe typically take 5-10 days to process.
Rescheduling
Clients may Contact Us to reschedule their rental date free of charge 7 days or more before the booked rental period begins. Payment may be transferred to any available date within 12 months of the original reservation (subject to rental availability on the new date).
Reschedules requested less than 7 days before a scheduled booking are subject to a $25.00 ( Twenty-Five Dollars ) fee and availability. No exceptions.
Weather Policy
Our cancellation policy will not be effected by forecasted weather conditions. The customer is responsible for monitoring the weather forecast and planning their event accordingly. Customers are responsible for having a backup plan in the event of forecasted inclement weather.
In the event of UNEXPECTED SEVERE WEATHER ( A sudden & severe weather development that wasn’t forecasted and prevents the safe usage of the rental equipment), customers may:
- Reschedule their event (subject to equipment availability), OR
- Receive a rental credit valid for 12 months from the original date.
BARRING UNEXPECTED SEVERE WEATHER THE DAY OF, ONCE A BOOKING HAS BEEN LOADED FOR DELIVERY, BOOKINGS BECOME 100% NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON TRANSFERABLE.
